Dear Butterflies...

Butterflies!

I once was familiar with the feeling of butterflies fluttering when someone held me, kissed me, or touched me...

The kind of sensation where thousands of butterflies fly inside you when you kiss someone, like you're insides are exploding and yet it feels great and you continue to hold on to that feeling, that person.

I was once familiar with it...

I was...

As time passed, people left, stomping on the butterflies to the point they died and were no longer a part of me, no longer the kind of feeling when someone held me, kissed me, or touched me...

All I feel when someone holds me, kisses me, or touches me are like the ants that try to avoid water when being splashed upon them... The butterflies in me died and I no longer know what it means to be held by someone, kissed by someone, touched by someone,

I'm sometimes grateful for the demise of those butterflies but sometimes, when I wanted to feel something with that someone, I wished they hadn't died too soon, I wished they should've stayed,...

I miss the feeling of butterflies fluttering in me...

I miss you my butterflies, come back and make me feel alive again!

Hi, I'm Gayathri, a lover of life’s simple yet magical moments. I adore wearing jhumkas, even when they pinch a little because they remind me that beauty sometimes comes with pain. My heart belongs to romance – I read everything that celebrates love and write it too, weaving stories of heartbeats and soul connections. You'll often find me wandering through bookstores, promising myself not to buy anything, only to leave with a stack of new adventures. Something is enchanting about tea on a rainy day, don’t you think? The way the rain taps on the window while you sip warmth from a cup, and instead of hiding from the rain, I embrace it. The rhythm of the raindrops brings a calm that only the sky can offer. And then, there’s the swing—ah, the swing. I can never resist the urge to soar high, letting the wind caress my face, and in that moment of weightlessness, everything feels possible. Life, to me, is about finding these little moments of wonder, where time pauses, and joy is all that matters. Welcome to my world!
